Working to a brief provided by the director David O’Shea I created a 1:25 scale model for the play The Visit by Friedrich Durrenmatt. Taking inspiration from 1920’s German Expressionist, Surrealist and Bauhaus movements I created a striking and immersive set that portrayed the themes of the play (forgotten, hallucination and conspiracy). I took large inspiration from the German Expressionist lino artist Jacob Pins and sculptor Oskar Schlemmer to create a monochromatic and atmospheric design.
